Ok so, i havent been on in ages but I have something to say and its a serious issue. Why do jobs lack hire etiquette? I applied for one of my dream jobs and was excited to get a call back, a day later none the less, and asked me to come in for an interview. OF COURSE, I said. Interview went great and low and behold, I was invited for a second interview a mere 48 hours AFTER my first…OH MAN… this is looking good guys. So i head out to my second interview, which happens to be a working interview, which low and behold, IT IS MY DREAM JOB! the hours fy by with good conversation and chemistry, and I received A LOT of compliments. I was feeling hella good about it all. At the end of the interview, she said, Ill let you know this week. AWESOME! I had no cause to doubt her, seeing as she had been so quick to contact me the last two times. Feeling good and SUPER excited, I tell everyone, I THINK THIS IS IT GUYS, I was just so ready. So Monday flies by, tuesday and when Wednesday rolls around I think, maybe I should call and just let them know how much I enjoyed myself and Thank them for the opportunity. DONE, feeling awesome I wait…..I wait…I wait. SATURDAY rolls around, Im really feeling down, so I decide let me call again. I call and she answers, and she informs me OHHHHHHHHHHH Ive been on VACATION, but Ill let you know, still have to talk to the rest of the team…Alright cool dude. SO HERE WERE ARE, Tuesday, bout to be WEDNESDAY and I still have received no call. Now, I can accept I didnt get the job, but really URKS me is have the courtesy to call me and say I didn’t get the job. I had a second interview, Ive called you twice, im OBVIOUSLY very interested in the position, but you cant spend 1 minute to call and say, thank you but no thanks. Its just poor etiquette and I get you are in the position of power and can do whatever you want, but, just because you can doesnt mean you should. Best believe I am going to call again and get an answer. This is not over job lady…not at all.
